Lake County Water Restrictions

Apparently someone forgot to inform Mother Nature that winter is here.  It has been unseasonably warm this year.  Due to the heat, the grass has not really had time to go dormant.  Even though your lawn may keep growing, you are only allowed to water once a week during this time of the year.

Daylight Savings Time:  Second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November.  (March 11 - November 4, 2012)

Eastern Standard Time:  First Sunday in November until the second Sunday in March.  (November 4, 2012 - March 10, 2013)

Try to water the lawn at night.  You are getting the best absorption at this time.  The County says to avoid 10a.m. - 4p.m.  Keep the time down as well; no more than one hour per zone.

Odd numbered and even numbered addresses water on different days.  You have an odd address if your house number ends in 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9.  You have an even address if your house number ends in 2, 4, 6, 8 or 0.
